Senior level Phased Array Antenna Design Engineer. You would be responsible for all the design of a variety of analog and phased array antenna technologies. You should have a deep interest and background in phased array design and have expert level status with HFSS and other simulation tools.
• You should like inventing and creating, while also have strong writing, communications and documentation skills.
• Strong experience working with Ku/Ka Satcom antenna systems and having developed products from concept through volume development and deployment. You would join the core development team on a variety of SatCom antenna design technologies.

The selected antenna engineer will hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, math, physics or equivalent with an emphasis on electromagnetics, Antennas, Microwave and wireless communications and have 5 or more years of hands on experience designing antennas, Passive microwave components and devices with direct experience in Microstrip, strip line and printed technologies.  A Masters or PhD level degree with a thesis in related technologies is a plus.

US Citizenship will be required as to comply with any military work, however no security clearance will be required at this time.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Work history in the design of steerable beam antennas and integration into low-cost and mass production products.
• Hands-on experience in testing antennas in Far Field and or Near Field Chambers
• 3D simulation/modelling experience with HFSS and Ansys designer and or equivalent packages
• Lab experience measuring S parameters and RF sub-systems
• Experience using Matlab and writing scripts for complicated simulation models
Desirables would include having experience developing Antennas into complete communication systems for either point to point and or point to multi-point, clear know how of communication theory and link budgets.
• Military and/or defense experience is a plus.
• Experience designing conformal Radom’s for low and high frequency products.
• Understanding of the RF chain for transmits and receives systems.
• Radar fundamentals knowledge is a plus.
• Clear Understanding of transmission line theory and distributed systems.
• Experience launching sub-antenna systems into mass production.
• Understanding of various manufacturing processes and technologies, such as die-cast, printed technologies, materials and integration.
