Infrared – Electro-Optic Subsystem Design Engineer

The select Electro Optical (EO) subsystem engineer will have tasks related to infrared advanced missile seekers and guidance subsystems, will develop Electro Optic sensor system simulations and conduct analyses to characterize Electro Optic performance for developmental and production deliverable seeker assets based on laboratory data; develop requirements and conduct requirement validation of Electro Optic sub-systems based on analysis and/or testing; develop and conduct Electro Optic subsystem trade studies; work across multiple engineering disciplines including Electro Optic hardware design (detector, optics, cryogenic systems, opto-mechanical), video electronics, Electro Optic integration and verification, video signal processing, missile simulation and analysis, and system engineering to establish multi-disciplinary technical solutions for EO products which ensure design integrity and operational performance under all applicable environments. 
- You will need an active DoD Secret level clearance coming in the door, though a Top Secret (TS) is desired. 
- Must have at minimum a Bachelors’ degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems engineering, Signal Processing, Imaging Sciences or math and 13 years of industry engineering experience. A Master’s degree in the same and 10 years experience is desired.  
• You must have thorough knowledge of Electro-Optics product development, factory process, SCM and key personnel. 
• Candidate will periodically lead small teams of 3-5 engineers and present technical information to program management, subject-matter experts, and government customers. 
• Candidate will work independently, with little supervision. 
• Develop a network and know when to use it to get help. 
• Ensure proper engineering discipline is applied to all designs. 
• Provide the best technical solution within cost and schedule constraints. 
• Experience in leadership roles with strong technical and management background. 
• Strong knowledge of EVMS, program planning and management. 
• Proven background in design compliance during design/development. 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively and inspire peers, suppliers, management, and customers in a team environment.
